Refund, Cancellation & Package Policies
For In-Studio/Outdoor Private Lessons:
Indoor/Outdoor private lesson cancellation policy: Arete Dance Center operates private lessons on the premise that dance needs consistency and repetition. Most clients and instructors need a consistent schedule that fluctuates as minimally as possible. Packages are discounted on the premise that lessons will be taken on a once-weekly (or more) standing appointment basis. When you schedule a lesson, you are reserving that slot of your instructors’ time and reserving allocated studio space.
Some of our instructors travel for upwards of an hour (each way) to reach the studio, so we ask that you cancel at least 24 hours in advance in order to avoid a ‘late cancelation’ charge (the cost of the missed lesson). Although our cancellation policy is 24 hours to avoid being charged for the lesson, please be courteous and give us as much advance notice as possible so that we may have time to rebook the released lesson slot/notify your instructor of the change in their schedule.
***Please note we are waiving this policy for any health related situations due to Covid-19 but ask that you keep in mind the spirit of the policy when cancelling for other reasons.***
Rescheduling: At the discretion of the management, your instructor may be able to re-book your time slot without enforcing the cancelation policy if we are able to re-book your lesson within the same week.
Group classes and punch cards: Teachers are often paid (or pre-paid) for their work/time for teaching & planning group classes, especially series classes. Oftentimes, ADC goes a step above the rest to ensure group classes have as even a number of leaders to followers as possible. Pre-registration is required for all series classes. Space is limited for participants comfort. Due to this, group series classes and punch cards are non refundable and not transferable to others. Punch cards expire one year from the date of purchase.
Gift Certificates are non refundable but fully transferable. Expire one year from date of purchase unless explicitly granted an extension.
For Online Lessons:
Recorded tutorials have a 24 hour trial period. If for whatever reason you are not satisfied with the recorded tutorials within the first 24 hours, simply email us and we’ll cancel your subscription and refund you the full cost of the tutorials. After 24 hours, our recorded tutorials are non-refundable; however, you may cancel your subscription at anytime. To cancel your subscription, log into your account and follow the steps for cancellation.
Personalized Tutorials and Streaming Lessons are non-refundable.
Gift Certificates are non-refundable. You may, however, apply the value of the gift certificate to any of our online services.
